Jesus demonstrated the key to victory: a 40 day prayer strategy based on scripture. The key is for each person to pray for healing, deliverance and revival in himself for 40 days. We could have instant world wide revival if every person confessed what sins they had sown, instead of focusing on the person through whom they are reaping!! Please pass this on!
Here is an example of a scripture prayer strategy similar to what Jesus demonstrated in Matthew 4. It is not short; it is 40 days worth of praying! Please note that it is appropriate, not selfish, to pray down ungodly mindsets and strongholds in yourself first.

) He drew a circle around himself and submitted his own heart to God first.
) He addressed the enemy directly rather than being tricked into fighting people.
) He used scripture rather than "reason" to fight the enemy.
) He dealt with the temptations and the mindsets that the enemy offered Him first.
) He fasted and prayed scripture for 40 days (and his results were perfect.)
) He prayed scripture that related to very specific strongholds.
) He prayed using His delegated authority along with fasting, and trusted God with the results.

40 Day Prayer Strategy

Jesus demonstrated the 40 day Prayer Strategy to tear down strongholds, when he was driven into the wilderness to be tempted. He responded to every mind set that the enemy offered him with, "It is written .... ." Even though He was sinless, He still had to choose to agree with God's truth about him for 40 days in order to defeat all fragments of the devil's mind sets!

We need to "defrag" our minds (like computers) from every fragment of old and current mental strongholds. Programming in Truth will replace every "program" of agreements with the lies that have been spoken over us. When our obedience is complete, we will be able to take revenge on the devil according to 2 Cor. 10:4-6 . Do you 10-4?

When we are empty of strongholds, then we are finally able to be truly filled with God's Holy Spirit and to be healed people - healing people.

A STRONGHOLD IS a mind set impregnated with hopelessness, which causes us to accept as unchangeable, situations and beliefs that we know are contrary to God's truth about us and all that concerns us.

PRAYER of commitment to pray for 40 days:

Father God, I renounce the deceptions, lies and guilt that have tormented me. In your name, Lord, I strip away every stronghold or mindset in my soul that blocks God's truth. I choose to believe your Word and to submit to truth, in balance, and with my whole heart. I break agreement with all my ancestor's sins. I release all my hurts to your healing and justice. We will covenant together to take the Word of God, resist lies and embrace truth, like Jesus did, for 40 days. We will swing the Sword of the Spirit until we have victory in our own lives and the beam is out of our own eye!

WE WILL UNITE OUR PRAYERS to agree with God's truth rather than our negative mindsets. We will persevere for our hope is in God's Word to us, which will not fail. In the name of Jesus, we loose ourselves from contending with the Word and bind ourselves to God's will, way and timing.

WE UNITE OUR PRAYERS to loose ourselves from every form of selfish independence and every strategy of the enemy to separate us from others, from God and even from ourselves. We bind ourselves to the unity of the Spirit of God in our homes, churches and in our city.

WE UNITE OUR PRAYERS, to loose ourselves from the effects of the guilt shame, hurt, trauma and hopelessness that devils have brought into our lives. In the Name of Jesus Christ, as the bride of Christ, we bind ourselves to Christ our healer, who redeems every experience, removes the pain and makes our weak places strong for His glory.

SATAN, WE UNITE OUR PRAYERS to loose ourselves from hopelessness and helplessness and to bind ourselves to God's plans, purposes and VISION for our lives with new faith and commitment.

WE UNITE OUR PRAYERS to bind ourselves to the love of God, His humility and to be expressions of His heart. We loose ourselves from fleshly concerns, fears and carnal jealousy and envy that divides.

LORD, WE BIND OURSELVES to Godly motives, to speaking in love, with patience and kindness in every sentence... To speak with humility, without rudeness, self-centeredness or anger... We loose our wrong reactions to offenses. We repent of and loose any right to keep a record of wrongs... We loose ourselves from rejoicing in the other's weaknesses and bind ourselves to rejoicing with them and in the truth. Our words will protect and express our trust in others and show that we believe in them.

IN JESUS' NAME, we loose ourselves from strongholds of unforgiveness, distrust, fear and anger rooted in the victim spirit, painful memories, fear of closeness, and our "rights." We bind ourselves to mercy and grace, trust, and forgiving as Jesus did, paying the price.
IN JESUS' NAME, we loose ourselves from the strongholds of control, manipulation and self-indulgence rooted in fears of hurt, interdependence, bonding and in not giving others value. We bind ourselves to Your servant heart out of faith, love and peace.

IN JESUS' NAME, we loose ourselves from the strongholds of protection behind false securities, confusing the issues and every facade we use to protect our flesh. We bind ourselves to the love of Jesus, integrity, truth, His joyful strength and genuine motives.
